Begun in 1922, Our Gang comedy movie shorts were made until the 1940s yet didn't become classics until their endless showings on TV in the 1950s made names like Spanky, Alfalfa, Buckwheat, Stymie and a dog named Petey, baby boomer icons. The central element of the comedies (also known as The Little Rascals) was mischief and a happy ending, and this rare script from a 1937 short follows the formula by making Alfalfa into an unlikely football hero to win Darla's favor. The 26-page script from the Hal Roach Studio is dated 9/17/37 and has the name "Joe Cullom" on the cover. The pages of the script are yellowed but the memories in it are strictly golden. Also included are two 8" x 10" glossies of scenes from the short.
