The smallest of Giants had a huge heart. Playing from 1982-89, 5-foot-7 inch Joe Morris was a big-play threat who during the 1986 season rushed for a club-record 1,516 yards, helping propel the Giants to a 14-2 regular-season record and a 39-20 rout of the Broncos in Super Bowl XXI. Early in the season, Morris was presented with this trophy by a New York Mercedes-Benz dealership. The trophy is a miniature version of the NFL's Vince Lombardi championship trophy, with an 8" silver football perched atop a tapered stand which is mounted on a black base that measures 3-1/2" x 5-1/2". The silver plate that reads, "Star Player of the Game, presented to Joe Morris, Giants vs. Seattle Seahawks, October 19, 1986, by Mercedes-Benz Manhattan Inc." The trophy is in excellent condition.
