On November 27, 1977, the Montreal Alouettes won the Canadian Football League championship and with it the hallowed Grey Cup, trouncing the Edmonton Eskimos 41-6 before a record crowd of over 68,000 at Olympic Stadium. The CFL, which was the proving ground for NFL stars such as Joe Theismann, Warren Moon and Doug Flutie, also ushered the coaching career of Marv Levy. Marv did something as Alouette coach he never could as boss man of the Buffalo Bills: win a ring, like this one awarded to each member of the Alouettes for their victory. The size 14 ring has approx. 25, 5pt diamonds scattered like gleaming snowflakes on top and surrounded by "Montreal Alouettes" in gold. The left shank has the score of the game and "Canadian Football League" and the right shank has "Grey Cup champions" and the name "Perry" around an engraving of the cup. The ring is in excellent condition.
