This beautifully aged pigskin from the Green Bay Packers' 23-12 victory over the Cleveland Browns in the 1965 NFL title game at Lambeau Field, signed by 47 members of the Pack. It is a caramel-colored Wilson ball stamped with with the word "The Duke," which every fan knew was the official NFL ball then, as well as "Green Bay Packers, worlds champs 1965", and a facsimile signature of Commissioner Pete Rozelle. The signatures cross over two panels and part of "The Duke" panel, on which are the names of Lombardi and his coaches including the man who would succeed him, Phil Bengston. Player signatures, featuring a truckload of HOFers, include Bart Starr, Paul Hornug, Jim Taylor, Bill Curry, Herb Adderley, Willie Wood, Ray Nitschke, Willie Davis, Jerry Kramer, Dave Robinson, Fuzzy Thurston, Jim Ringo, Mac McGee, Carroll Dale, Henry Jordan, Don Chandler, etc. The signatures are in black ink and rate 7-9.
