A graduate of Purdue University, Danielson passed for 2,748 yards in three seasons for the Boilermakers. He signed with the Detroit Lions as a free agent in 1976 and became the third all-time leading passer in Lions history before a trade sent him to Cleveland in 1985. On the left front tail is the "Sand-Knit" exclusive label and below is the "Sand-Knit" label and size "46." On the back of the jersey is a white mesh nameplate with the name "Danielson" in blue tackle twill. The player number "16" appears on the front, back and on each sleeve of the jersey. The numbers are blue on gray and have been ironed-on. On the upper left front is the Detroit Lions 50th anniversary patch. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
