All-American quarterback from BYU, McMahon set numerous NCAA Division 1 passing records. He was a Bears first round draft pick in 1982 and led the Bears to their only Super Bowl title in 1985. This jersey was manufactured in 1988 and worn by McMahon during the 1989 season. On the left front tail is the year tag "88" and next to this is the "Sand-Knit" label with the size, "46." Above this is the "Sand-Knit" exclusive label. On the back of the jersey is a blue mesh nameplate with the name "McMahon" in white letters. The nameplate had been removed and then put back on the jersey when it was given to McMahon. The player number "9" appears on the front, back and on each sleeve of the shirt. The numbers are white on gold. All the letters and numbers have been ironed-on. The jersey shows game-use and with the exception of the changed nameplate, appears to have no other alterations of any kind.
