A true test for veteran football Giants fanatics is to name Charlie Connerly's backup QB on the 1956 Big Blue NFL championship team. The answer: Bobby Clatterbuck. Drafted on the 27th round in 1954 out of Houston, Clatterbuck played for four seasons in relative obscurity, throwing for 1,032 yards and 18 TDs in 18 games. This vintage Giants sideline jacket was worn by Clatterbuck during the years when the team played in the Polo Grounds. Like their baseball cousins, the football Giants' logo was the old-world-style "NY", which is sewn on the left breast of the grey and red jacket in white felt. The player number "9" is on the left sleeve and "Giants" is on the back in block letters.
