Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor might have been the most dominating defensive player the NFL has ever seen. Playing his entire career as a New York Giant, Taylor and his defensive unit were a integral part of the success of the team. "LT" was named MVP of the NFL in 1986 while leading the Giants to their first Super Bowl title. This Giants' blue helmet was worn by Lawrence Taylor during his rookie season of 1981. The helmet has the white Giants logo on each side with a red stripe running down the middle. The face mask is white with the Giants logo above it. On the inside of the helmet above the left ear hole, in aged white paint, is an "81" and a "56", denoting the year and Taylor's player number, respectively. On the back of the helmet is the warning label with the player number "56" in white decals which have been replaced. The helmet shows good game-use.
