This Miami Dolphins helmet worn by Dan Marino during his glorious Hall of Fame-to-be career is a coveted piece of memorabilia for everyone except perhaps 26 NFL general managers who are still gnashing their teeth for "passing" on the man who would become the most prolific passer ever. Stepping into the Fish-tank as a rookie, Marino threw for over 2,200 yards and 20 TDs with only six interceptions. In 1983, he established himself as the Big Kahuna, leading the team to the Super Bowl by leading the league in every QB stat including a record 5,084 yards and 48 TDs. Over 17 seasons, Dandy Don's quick-release bombs were a football staple and when he finally retired in 1999, he held 20 records including 61,361 yards, 420 TDs and a 59.4 completion percentage. Marino signed his classic white, aqua and orange Dolphins helmet in black Sharpie rating a 7. above the logo of the dolphin on the left side, with his name and number "13". The numbers "1" and "3" are affixed to the back flanking the green and red front-to-back stripes, and there is a black strip with the number "20" on the back left for the deceased David Overstreet.
