This two-time All-America quarterback from Purdue guided the Boilermakers to a Rose Bowl victory over Southern California and led the Miami Dolphins to two Super Bowl victories during the 1970s. Among many achievements, he won the Jim Thorpe Memorial Trophy in 1971 as the Professional Football Player of the year. On the left front tail is the "Russell Athletic" label with the size, "L." On the back of the jersey is a white mesh nameplate with the name "Griese" in aqua tackle twill. The player number "12" appears on the front, back and on each sleeve of the jersey. The numbers are aqua on orange and have been ironed-on. The sleeves have been custom-cut. The jersey shows game-use and with the exception of the sleeves, appears to have no other alterations of any kind. It comes with an additional letter of authenticity stating how it originally came from Don Mattingly's restaurant.
