Roger Clemens continues to make pitching history winning his sixth Cy Young award during the 2001 season. The eight time All-Star has just celebrated his 39th birthday and shows no sign of slowing down as he approaches the 300 win mark. Although he is best known for his pitching abilities, "The Rocket" has had his fair share of hacks at the plate and even managed to hit .500 during the 1997 season (ok, so he only had two at bats). This bat was used by Clemens during the 1999 season. The 34.25 inch, 31.2 ounce Rawlings CD44 model bat has "Rocket" burned into the barrel in block letters. It shows nice use with a light coat of pine tar on the handle and various ball and rack marks are visible on the barrel. There is a slight handle crack and "34.5/32" has been written on the knob in black marker.
