This slick-fielding Hall of Fame first baseman played for the New York Giants from 1915-26. His great defensive skills and his .297 lifetime average made Kelly invaluable to John McGraw's ballclub. Along with Frank Frisch, Dave Bancroft and Heinie Groh, they formed the greatest infield in Giants history. Represented here is a pair of N.Y. Giants home flannel pin-stripe pants worn by "Highpockets" during the mid 1920's. On the right front waist of the pants is the Horace Partridge Co. label with the size "40". On the inside back of the pants is the name "G Kelly" sewn in red stitch on a white felt nameplate. Four air-holes appear in the crotch of the pants which comes complete with a brass buckled leather belt. The pants show good use and are a very rare example of Kelly's game-used equipment.
