As a young boy growing up in Texas Nolan Ryan learned that things did not always come easy. Just a few years later Nolan would take what he had learned about hard work and determination to the Major Leagues and turn it into one of the greatest pitching careers that the big leagues would ever know. These pants and hat were worn by Ryan during his time with the Houston Astros, one of the best periods of his career. In the waistband of the pants is the "W.A. Goodman & Sons" wash tag with the size "34". Next to this is a patch reading "Ryan 34-25 '88 SET C" denoting player, year, and set number. They show nice game use and do not appear to have any alterations of any kind. The hat was manufactured by New Era and has an Authentic Diamond Collection tag on the inside as well as the manufacturers tag. Ryan's number "34" appears on the underside of the brim in black marker and he has signed "Nolan Ryan" in blue rating an 8. A nice pairing from Ryan's days with the Houston Astros.
