On April 7, 1953, Chuck Stobbs threw the pitch that Mickey Mantle hit out of Griffith Stadium for his famous 565-foot home run. A regular winner with Boston, he registered a career-high 15 wins in 1956. In the neck of the jersey is the "Wilson" label and adjacent is the size tag, "46." On the inside left front tail is the year tag, "48." Across the front of the jersey is the name "Red Sox" and on the back is the player number "22." Both the name and number are made of red on blue felt. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
