Roberto Clemente began his Major League career in 1955 when he came up with the Pittsburgh Pirates. He would stay with the team for the next 18 seasons leading them to two World Series appearances, where he excelled hitting .362 in the postseason. A 12 time all star he won just as many Gold Gloves and was voted the 1966 National League Most Valuable Player. A .317 lifetime hitter Clemente won four batting titles and amassed a career total of 3,000 hits. This Clemente gamer shows the 1961-64 labeling period. The Hillerich & Bradsby O16 model bat weights 33.8 ounces and is 36" long. It shows evidence of exceptional game use and has a vintage "21"written on the knob. "34" has been written on the knob in pencil indicating the original production weight. An exceptional Clemente gamer.
