An 18 time all-star, Carl Yastrzemski played his entire Hall of Fame career with the Boston Red Sox. During his 23 seasons in the big leagues, Yaz won seven gold gloves and was voted the Most Valuable Player in the American League in 1967. With a lifetime average of .285, he retired with 3,419 hits and 452 home runs. This Louisville Slugger shows the labeling period of 1980-83. It is a 35", 32 ounce, model K48 that shows significant game use. The handle has been taped for grip by Yaz and is cracked. His jersey number "8" appears on the knob in black marker. Ordering records indicate that this bat was shipped to Yaz in 1983, the last year in his career.
