Hailed as one of the best young pitching prospects in years, Josh Beckett ended his 2001 Rookie season with a remarkable 1.50 ERA. Not only a threat while pitching, he did rather well at the plate last season hitting .286, not bad for a pitcher. This Sam bat was used by Beckett during that season and shows light game use and has a light coat of stick-um applied to the handle for grip. The CD1 model bat is 33.5 inch long, weighs 30 ounces and has this information written in the cupped end by the factory.
