The 1996 American League Gold Glove award winner Jay Buhner helped his team to four postseason appearances. After four injury plagued seasons "Bones" decided to retire prior to the start of the 2002 season. This glove was used by Buhner during the 1990s. It was manufactured by "SSK" and is a "Dimple-II" professional model. Buhner's nickname "Bones" as well as his jersey number "19" has been embroidered on the thumb. The deer skin glove shows evidence of nice game use. The bat is a 34 inch, 32 ounce model 435JB Rawlings bat that was used by Buhner during the 1994 season. It shows excellent game use with a handle crack, the handle has been taped for grip (prior to the crack) and shows evidence of pine tar. He signed the bat on the barrel and the signature rates a solid 8.
