Babe Ruth has remained the idol of many from the time of his playing days right through today. To the delight of his fans, Ruth enjoyed interacting with them during his playing days. This Babe single carries impeccable provenance. It was consigned to us by the very man to whom it is inscribed. It is accompanied by a letter from the consignor, explaining how he came to meet the Babe when he was only seven years old. Ruth signed "To Dickie DeThomas, From Babe Ruth" in black ink with the signature rating an 8, and the inscription being a strong 7. The Reach Regulation baseball has a wonderful vintage look to it, it is evenly toned and shows slight wear, which only adds to the eye appeal. A light coat of shellack has been applied to the ball.
