Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris were the first to captivate the Nation with an historic home run chase in 1961. When the season ended and the dust had cleared Roger Maris was the new home run champ with 61 while Mantle had hit a 54. This limited edition bat was produced in tribute to that season and is signed by both Maris and Mantle in blue with signatures rating a near 10 for Mantle and an 8 for Maris. It is an M110 model and each side is stamped with the Louisville Slugger centerbrand. The player name was then burned into the barrel just as it would have been has the bat been manufactured for game use. Below this is "54 Homeruns - 1961" for Mantle, and "61 Homeruns - 1961" for Maris. The bat is numbered 60/115.
