The Boston Red Sox franchise is deeply rooted in baseball history and their teams of the 50s, including 1957, are some of the best in the history of the game. Ted Williams had one of the best seasons of his Hall of Fame career in 1957 hitting .388 with 38 homeruns and 163 hits. This OAL Harridge ball was signed by 24 members of the 1957 team, including: Williams, Vernon, Goodman, Klaus, Sisler, Piersall, Spring, Daley, Parnell, Mauch, and Malzone. The ink signatures rate between 7 and 9 with Williams being on the higher end. Several of the signatures have developed a pinkish hue while the ball itself is lightly but evenly toned. "1957" has been written on the ball in black ink.
