One of the most storied franchises in the history of baseball, the Brooklyn Dodgers finally had their year in 1955, beating the New York Yankees to become World Champions. To honor the team, and help sell their product, the Schaefer beer company issued this remarkable advertising piece. Measuring approximately 13" x 21" this cardboard display features a 3-D image of the team that is made up of three die cut panels arranged one on top of each other. The team picture is then surrounded by a wood grain border with "World Champion Brooklyn Dodgers" across the bottom. The display is in overall very good to excellent condition with several faint wrinkles. The upper portion of the border has suffered from more wear than the rest but still retains fantastic eye appeal. The back of the piece has it's original easel backing and two squares of adhesive were affixed at one time to help mount this tremendous display.
