Jackie Robinson just may have been the perfect man to break baseball's color barrier that stood unfairly for over 50 years. An aggressive ball player, he was quick to stand up for himself but did so in a way that made him a class act. He became an idol to many a young boy and became one of the most famous faces in the world, gracing many an item such as this composition. The doll itself is in very good to excellent condition, retaining its original paint which has a few chips. The doll is wearing it's original uniform (with number "2" on the back, the "4" has fallen off), including the jacket. The front of the jersey and the back of the jacket both have the Dodger logo on them however some of the letters have partially flaked off over the years. The doll also has the original hat with a "B" on the front and the original socks and shoes. Fantastic display piece in it's original unrestored condition.
