A television acting giant, Richard Boone honed his skills by appearing in over 150 live television shows in New York from 1948-50. However, his most memorable role came as a hired gunslinger named "Paladin" in the hit western "Have Gun - Will Travel" (1957-63). This original tuxedo was worn by Richard Boone on his television series, "Have Gun-Will Travel". The dark navy blue tuxedo jacket has a black fur collar with six buttons on the front and three on each sleeve. In the waist of the navy blue pants is a Western Costume Co. tag. Typed on the tag is "2189-1 Richard Boone 33, 32 1/2" denoting ID #, Actor, waist and inseam respectfully. Also included is a light blue ruffled tuxedo shirt with gold trim. Accompanying the show-worn tuxedo is a signed and dated LOA from Richard Boone's son, Peter. He states that the tuxedo has been in the family since Boone left the show in 1963.
