The ABA was in its fourth season and full of high hopes, and red ink, in 1971 when each member of the league's All-Star team was presented with this handsome leather golf bag in the circuit's signature colors of red, white and blue. Some of those All-Stars that 1970-71 season included Rick Barry, Dan Issel, Zelmo Beaty, Roger Brown, Charlie Scott, and Mel Daniels, who won both MVP honors in the All-Star Game and for the season. The bag, standing 35" at its highest point, has on one of its gold zipper-lined pockets, a crest with the ABA's tri-color ball and the words "1971 ABA All Star." In excellent condition with the leather clean and buttery soft, the bag is a unique memento of the league that gave four teams to the NBA, and great memorabilia to roundball collectors.
