Max Baer defeated Primo Carnera for the Heavyweight Championship in 1933 and held the title for a year until he lost to James J. Braddock in 1934. These brown leather boxing gloves were used by Max Baer in fights during the 1930's. The gloves show use with some cracking in the leather on the fist of the gloves. The gloves were given as part of a wedding gift to Ray "Crash" Corrigan, a stuntman and roommate of Baer in Hollywood. The gloves have remained in the Corrigan family ever since until now! On the wrist of the left glove is stamped the "Wilson" brand with the numbers "30-16". A signed LOA from Tom Corrigan (the son) comes with this exceptional example of 1930's fight-worn boxing gloves.
