Hines Ward is a tough wide receiver who blossomed into the team's top receiver. He eclipsed the 1,000 receiving yard mark for the first time in his career, joining Plaxico Burress as the only receiving tandem in team history to both surpass 1,000 receiving yards for a season. In the neck of the jersey is a white label reading "01-40" denoting the year and size, respectively. At the base of the "V" neck is the "NFL" patch and on the upper left front is the "Steelers" patch. On the left front tail is the "Reebok" label and adjacent is the size tag, "40." On the back of the shirt is a black nameplate with "Ward" in gold tackle twill. The player number "86" appears on the front, back and on each shoulder of the jersey in white tackle twill. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
