Sauer was a six year veteran from the University of Texas who along with Don Maynard became Joe Namath's receiving core. On the left front tail of the jersey is the "Wilson" label which includes the size "44." The player number "83" appears on the front, back and on each sleeve of the jersey. The numbers on the front and back are made of white tackle twill and the numbers on the sleeves are made of red tackle twill on a blue embroidered backing. There is an autograph on the back number "3" which grades a 9. It comes with an additional letter form Sauer. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
