The New York Sack Exchange terrorized opposing quarterbacks during the mid 80s with a combination of strength up the middle and speed on the outside. The middle was anchored by Joe Klecko and the outside was controlled by Mark Gastineau. Gastineau set the then single-season sack record of 22 in 1985. This green Riddell helmet was worn by New York Jets defensive end Mark Gastineau circa 1986. On each side of the helmet is the "Jets" logo in white and on the back is the player number "99" in white stick-ons. The padding inside the helmet is fully intact with all proper labeling. There is a size tag in the helmet which reads "8 1/4." The helmet shows game-use.
