This versatile and explosive two-time All-American running back from Nebraska unanimously won the Heisman Trophy in 1972. In what was dubbed the "Game of the Century", Rodger's 72 yard punt return in the first quarter against Oklahoma, set the tone for the game as the Cornhuskers rolled to a 35-31 victory and the 1971 National Championship. Signed by the Montreal Allouettes of the CFL, Rodgers' speed and versatility made him a fan favorite and CFL Hall of Famer. Pictured here is the original signature page and two copies of the Rodgers signed 1978 CFL contract with the Montreal Alouettes. General Manager Marv Levy agreed to pay Rodgers $125,000 for the 1978 football year and his signature appears directly above Rodgers. Also included is a pair of white leather Adidas cleats used by Rodgers while a member of the Montreal Allouettes. The player number "20" appears on the inside sole of both cleats in light blue marker. The shoes show use and are size 8-1/2.
