According to Jackie Maravich, her husband Pete had a terrific relationship with her grandparents. She writes, "My grandparents' names were Jacques and Henriette Garinot. They were from Compiegne, France. My grandmother used to fix escargot (snails) for Pete when she came to visit. He loved being with them and started trying to learn French after they left the first time. He would always want me to speak French to him (of course he never knew what I was saying)."
Pete Maravich signed this Seamless Bob Cousy model basketball for Jackie's grandparents with the inscription, "To Mr. and Mrs. Jacques Garinot Hoping to see you all soon- Best of luck- 'Pistol Pete." The black Sharpie signature and inscription are very dark and rate a 9. The ball comes to us directly from Pete's wife, Jackie Maravich, and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from her. The autograph also comes with a PSA/DNA letter.
