During an NBA career that lasted ten years, Cliff Hagan scored 13,447 points, played in five all-star games, and helped lead his team to a Championship in 1958. Combining quickness and strength with one of the best hook shots in the history of the game, Hagan had many awesome performances including one game against the New York Knicks, in which he scored an incredible 28 points in one quarter alone. In 1978, his accomplishments were honored as he was inducted into Basketball's Hall of Fame. This jersey was worn by Hagan during the mid-1960s. On the inside rear tail of the jersey is the "Rawlings" label with the size "48." Adjacent to this is the wash tag as well as another white patch reading "L." Across the front of the jersey is the name "Hawks." Below this is the player number "16" which also appears on the back of the jersey. All letters and numbers are made of red on blue tackle twill. The jersey shows even wear throughout with buckling and fraying to the front and back numbers. The tagging and stitching is consistent with other jerseys from this era that we have seen. The jersey shows good game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. It is accompanied by a letter from Hagan stating that he wore it during his playing days.
