An early entry candidate for the 1999 NBA draft, Steve Francis played three college seasons at three different schools, achieving great success at each of them. During the 2000-01 season, Francis became the first player in franchise history to lead the Rockets in points, rebounds and assists. This uniform was worn during the Nov. 28, 2001 game against Sacramento. On the left front tail of the jersey is the "Puma" label and adjacent is the year "00-01." Below this label is the "+2 Body" label and next to this is the year tag "00-01." Across the front of the jersey is the name "Rockets" in silver on white/red tackle twill and on the back is the name "Francis" in white on red tackle twill. The player number "3" appears on both the upper right front and on the back of the shirt. The numbers are made of silver on white/red tackle twill. On the upper left front is the "NBA" patch and on the back is an autograph which rates an 8. Included with the uniform are shorts from the 1997-98 season and sneakers. Inside the waistband of the shorts is the "Starter" exclusive label reading "Rise +2 Inseam +1." The player number and last name are written on this label in black marker. Adjacent is the size tag "38." Below this is the year tag "97/98." There is an autograph on the lower left front which rates an eight. The jersey and shorts show even wear throughout. The tagging is consistent with other Houston Rockets uniforms from the same era. The uniform and sneakers show game-use and appear to have no alterations of any kind. The autograph comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
