He saved one league and kept another one afloat. Julius Erving popularized the single most entertaining shot in the sport and he made a fast game even faster. He defined free-form basketball, injecting into a game that already throbbed with its special rhythms, a choreography of aerial improvisation that took our breath away. He spawned a whole generation of cloud-hopping, wing walking imitators and, in the process changed forever the way the game was played. On the left front tail of the jersey is the "Pearson" label and below is the "Wilson" label with the size "40." Below this are two red labels reading "78" and "6." The labels have been done in white chain stitch and denote the year and player number, respectively. Across the front of the jersey is the name "Sixers" in white on blue tackle twill and on the back is the name "Erving" in white tackle twill. The player number "6" appears on both the front and back of the jersey in white on blue tackle twill. The jersey shows good game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
