The ABA's dream was to force a merger with the NBA, and after a decade of playing ragged ball on splintered courts four of the league's teams, the Indiana Pacers, New York Nets, Denver Nuggets and San Antonio Spurs, were taken into the NBA. The others were left to the scrap heap of history, in memories alive today by a dwindling supply of colorful, and valuable, collectibles. One of the rarest and most colorful of ABA items is this evocative traveling jacket of the Pittsburgh Condors from around 1972, just before the club folded. Made out of wool and cotton, the jacket is bright yellow with two red stripes at the neck and around the bottom, and red snaps up the front. Across the upper back, large red letters reading "Pittsburgh Condors" are stitched on. The interior lining is red. The condition of the jacket and lining is excellent, with few visible flaws.
