Red Wilson was a former University of Wisconsin football star. With the Tigers, he was the primary catcher of "The Yankee Killer" Frank Lary. Lary was 16-3 against New York with Wilson behind the plate. In addition, Wilson batted .354 in those 21 contests - 96 points above his career average. In the neck of the jersey is the "MacGregor" label and size, "44." On the inside right front tail is the flag tag reading "Set 1 1958." Across the front of the jersey is the city "Detroit" and on the back is the player number "10." The name and number are made of blue rip cord. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
