After playing just 53 minor league games, with an awesome display of both speed and power, Bo Jackson was brought up by the Kansas City Royals in 1985. Within a few short seasons Bo was hitting .300 and was always good for 25 or 30 home runs. On the inside left front tail of the jersey is the "Rawlings" label with the size "46." Adjacent to this is the "Set 1 1988" flag tag. Across the front of the jersey is the name "Royals" in script style lettering. Across the back of the jersey is the player name "Jackson" and number, "16." All letters and numbers are made of blue tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the Royals team logo patch. The jersey shows even wear throughout with the front showing traces of game dirt. All stitching is original and consistent with other Royals knit jerseys from that era that we have seen. Our consignor obtained the shirt directly from Avron Fogelman, a one time owner of the team.
