"If there was ever a man born to be a hitter" said Ted Williams "it was me." And hit he did, combining a scientific approach at the plate with a swing perfected by countless hours of practice Ted Williams became the greatest hitter that the game of baseball has ever known. The six time batting Champ won two Triple Crowns and is the last man to hit .400. He was, however, more than just a ball player he was an American hero who gave up the best years to serve his country and the news of passing earlier this year saddened many who had never even seen him play. In the waist of the pants is the "Tim McAuliffe" label along with the year "59" and size "38" tags. Next to this is the player name "Ted Williams" in beautiful red chain stitch. Also in red chain stitch are the numbers "38 31 9." This denotes size, inseam, and player number respectively. The pants show game-use and appear to have no alterations of any kind.
