Rafael Palmeiro joined the Texas Rangers in 1998 and has been invaluable to the team ever since. A three time Gold Glove award winner "Rafy" has played on four All-Star teams and is regarded as one of most solid veterans in the game today. In 2000, the same year that he wore this jersey, Palmeiro hit his 400th home run. On the inside left front tail is the "Rawlings" label. Adjacent to this are the "Set 2 2000", "2 Inch Shorter Length", "1 Inch Extra Sleeve Length", and size "50" flag tags. Across the front of the jersey is the team name "Texas" in blue on red on white on beige tackle twill. On the back of the jersey is a gray nameplate with the player name "Palmeiro" and below this is the number "25." The letters and numbers are done in blue on red on white tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the Cuban flag patch and on the right sleeve is the "1999 Western Division Champions" patch. A piece of velcro has been added to the jersey in the front between the second and third buttons. Palmeiro has signed the jersey on the front in blue sharpie with the signature rating an 8. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. Included are a pair of Wilson batting gloves that show extensive use and have been autographed. The autographs come with a letter from PSA/DNA.
