Tug McGraw was certainly no slouch on the baseball diamond, having saved 180 games with a 3.14 ERA over 19 seasons for the New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies, but he will probably be best remembered for his quirky personality. It was routine for the lefthanded relief ace to charge off the mound, slapping his glove on his thigh, screaming all the while at no one in particular. McGraw also coined one of the most recognizable baseball quotes this side of Yogi Berra when his "Ya Gotta Believe" phrase became the rallying cry during the Mets' pennant chase in 1973. McGraw penned that famous phrase, along with his name, a samuel face and "N.Y. Mets - '65" on this MacGregor glove, which he used during game action. A vintage McGraw signature can also be found on the reverse and the black marker autographs grade a 9 overall. The glove shows tremendous use with heavy wear in the pocket where there is a piece of leather missing. "Tug 45" is written in black marker on the front to the left of the webbing and "Tug" is also written on the reverse. The autograph comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
