National League umpire Tom Hallion will always be remembered for the shoving match he initiated against Colorado Rockies catcher Jeff Reed on June 26, 1999. The shove and verbal abuse dished out by Hallion landed him a three-game suspension, which was the first levied against an umpire for an on-field dispute. Offered here are a jacket, shirt and hat worn by Hallion during game play. The shirt features the number 20 on the right sleeve and a National League patch on the left breast. It is signed "Tom Hallion 85-99" above the patch and "Thanks for nothing Bud - 2002" below. The notation is obviously a jab at Bud Selig for not defending Hallion's actions. The jacket also features the number on the left sleeve and NL patch on the left breast, which is signed with the same inscriptions. Lastly, the lot includes an NL hat with "10" written in silver sharpie on the reverse. Each item shows wear and the signatures grade an 8 overall. The autographs come with a letter from PSA/DNA.
