Lou Brock came into his own after moving to St. Louis in a six man trade on June 15, 1964. In fourth place when Brock joined them, the Cardinals overtook the Phillies, Giants and Reds to claim the pennant in the last week of the season. Brock then batted .300 with a homer as the Cardinals beat the Yankees in the World Series. Brock's greatest season was probably 1967, when he led the Cardinals to another World Championship with a league-leading 113 runs scored, 52 steals and career highs of 21 homers, 76 RBI and a .474 slugging average. On the inside front tail of the jersey is the "Rawlings" label which includes the size, "42" and adjacent is the flag tag reading "Set 2 1974." Across the front of the jersey is the name "Cardinals" in script-style letters made of red on blue embroidered stitch. Going through the letter "C" is a gold embroidered bat with a red embroidered Cardinal perched on each end. On the back of the shirt is the name "Brock" in red on blue tackle twill. The player number "20" appears on both the left breast and on the back of the jersey. The numbers are made of red on blue tackle twill. There is an autograph on the right front of the jersey which rates an 8. There is slight fraying on the back letters and some buckling on the front letters. The shirt shows even wear throughout. It is slightly discolored from sweat. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. The autograph comes with a letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
