A fastball pitcher known for throwing high heat, Shawn Estes was one of the San Francisco Giants most relied upon pitchers in the late 1990s. On the left front tail is the "Russell Athletic" label that has been stamped "Purchased from the San Francisco Giants." Adjacent to this are the "100% Polyester 50", "+1/2" Sleeve End", "2" Extra Length", and "Tapered Body" flag tags. Across the front of the jersey is the team name "San Francisco." On the back of the jersey is a black nameplate with the player name "Estes" and number "25." All of the letters and numbers are made from black on orange on gold tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the "San Francisco Giants" team logo patch. On the back of the jersey is the American Flag patch that was worn during the 2001 season in memorial of the September 11 terrorist attacks. The neck and arm holes have orange and black trim. The jersey shows game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. Also included in the lot is a 2001 Estes batting helmet. The black helmet has the "SF" logo decal on the front and the player name "Estes" decal on the back. On the left side of the helmet is the American Flag decal. On the inside are the "Diamond Collection" and size "7 1/4" labels. The helmet shows nice game use.
