Hank Aaron once said that "Dusty Baker has more potential than any outfielder I've seen in all my seasons with the Braves." Baker seemed ready to realize that potential when he batted .321 (third in the NL) in 1972, his first full season in the ML. In 1977 he set a club record against San Diego with five RBI in one inning. In the neck of the jersey is the "Goodman" label with the size, "43." On the left front tail is the year tag "1981" and next to this is a label reading "Set B" which is done in blue embroidered stitch. This label was put on the jersey in preparation for the playoffs and/or the World Series. It is therefore possible that this jersey was worn during one or both of these events. Across the front of the jersey is the name "Dodgers" in script-style letters made of blue tackle twill and on the back is the name "Baker" in blue on white tackle twill. The player number "12" appears on both the left breast and on the back of the shirt. The numbers on the front are made of red tackle twill and the numbers on the back are made of blue tackle twill. On the left sleeve is a patch worn by the Dodgers in tribute to the 200th anniversary of the City of Los Angeles. There is an autograph on the left front which rates an 8. The inside of the shirt has been custom lined in mesh to absorb sweat. There is some fraying on both the letters and numbers. The shirt shows even use throughout. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. The autograph comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
