He didn't know it at the time, but 1997 was Mike Piazza's last full season with the Los Angeles Dodgers. You could make a very strong case that this All-Star back stop's 1997 offensive campaign was the best ever for a catcher. Piazza's MVP-type numbers included a .362 batting average, 40 home runs and 124 RBIs. Included in this lot are a pair of size 12 cleats, chest protector, shin guards and mask, all worn by Piazza during that historic campaign. The mask, chest protector and shin guards were manufactured by Rawlings and the cleats are by Nike. All four items show excellent game use and no alterations of any kind.
