Emil "Dutch" Leonard was one of the first pitchers to rely heavily on the knuckleball. His success with what was considered a trick pitch inspired a whole generation of knuckleball specialists, including Hoyt Wilhelm. In the neck of the jersey is a gray felt label reading "20-1954-3-44" which has been done in blue chain stitch. The numbers denote the player number, year, set number and size, respectively. On the left front tail is the "Wilson" label with the size, "44." Across the front of the jersey is the name "Chicago" and on the back is the player number "20." Both the name and number are made of blue felt. There is an autograph on the left front tail which rates a 7. The jersey shows wear and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
