Ryne Sandberg came into his own in the Windy City in 1984 when the classic baseball film "The Natural" was a hit, as were the Cubs, who played their way into the post-season for the first time since 1945. As a result, Chicago Cub fans knew Sandberg as "Kid Natural" before the name "Ryno" caught on. In the neck of the jersey is the "Rawlings" label with the size "42" and adjacent is the flag tag reading "Set 2 1988." Below this is a white label reading "23 88 2 42T" in blue Swiss embroidered stitch. The numbers denote the player number, year, set number and size, respectively. The letter "T" denotes custom tapering. On the left breast is the Cubs logo patch and on the back is the player number "23." The number is made of blue tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the Cubs emblem. There is an autograph on the upper right front which rates an 8. There is slight fraying on the Cubs logo patch on the left breast. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. The autograph comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
