2001 was another banner year for Sammy Sosa, as if the Chicago Cubs star could put up anything other than eye-popping numbers. Slammin' Sammy terrorized opposing pitchers finished with Triple Crown type numbers, batting .328 with 64 home runs and a career-high 160 RBI. This Rawlings glove is from the 2000 campaign, when he captured his first home run title by clouting 50 for the Cubs. The glove is red and blue and was specifically designed for the perennial All-Star. The Dominican Republic flag is attached to the outside of the webbing on the glove, which features Sosa's name, stitched in blue on a red leather patch on the reverse. "PRO-SS21" is on the inside of the glove, which shows excellent game use.
