On opening day of the 1993 season the Florida Marlins made their first appearance as a professional baseball team. Playing centerfield on that historic occasion was a young centerfielder named Scott Pose. Pose would only play in 15 games early on in the season, making this jersey, most likely, the one he wore on opening day. On the left front tail of the jersey is the "Russell Athletic" label with the size "46." Adjacent to this is the "100% Polyester" flag tag and below is a white patch reading "2-Pose-93 Set 2." This denotes player number, name, year, and set number, respectively. Across the front of the jersey is the name "Marlins" in teal on black on white tackle twill. Below this is the player number "2" which also appears on the back of the jersey in black on white on teal tackle twill. Also on the back is a white nameplate reading "Pose" in black on teal tackle twill. The vest is accompanied by an original Marlins undershirt. The teal shirt has the team logo patch on the left sleeve and the "1993 Inaugural Year" patch on the right sleeve. Our client indicated that the jersey is from an impeccable source. The jersey shows game use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
