A master craftsman in the art of pitching, Greg Maddux won four consecutive Cy Young Awards from 1992-95. He achieved this without one defining or unhittable pitch, but instead with overall command and pinpoint accuracy. Armed with impeccable control, Greg is uncanny in his ability to place the ball exactly where he wants it. On the left front tail of the jersey is the "Russell Athletic" label with the size "44." Across the front of the jersey is the name "Atlanta" in script-style letters made of red on blue tackle twill. Below this is the Braves "Tomahawk." On the back of the jersey is a gray nameplate with the name "Maddux" in blue tackle twill. Below this is the player number "31" in red on blue tackle twill. On the right sleeve is baseball's "125th Anniversary" patch. There is some slight fraying on the front letters and on the tomahawk. The tagging is consistent with other Braves jerseys we have seen from the same era. It shows even wear throughout. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
